Terrakota- big rivalry to Flogging Molly

Last thursday there was this concert of Terrakota and Alpha Blondy---REGGAE---in an old warehouse under the fake San Francisco bridge. Already in the bus some people were humming, others, like us, singing...

When I see Babylon I see capitalism,
When I see Babylon I see no Wisdom,
When I see Babylon you know what I mean,
When I see Babylon I mean the machine,

RASTAMAN ---VIBRATIONS, YEAH!
POSITIVE ---VIBRATIONS, YEAH!
...
[Heike? is it like that? Or did i mess up the lyrics?]

the concert was full of energy. They have a very pretty singer, boys, who can dance and move amazingly. Everysong seemed to be different, theyw always came up with a new idea. Listen youself: http://www.myspace.com/terrakota

Then, for Alpha Blondy we were already really powered out...
...in the end of the concert, 4 of us lied in a square (u know, on eachothers belly)....

positive vibrations, yeah

dark bread á la portuguese

Without a second of hesitating i took out the dark bread (Schwarzbrot) from the shelf. I ve quite missed it... At home i prepared everything (com carinho): salted butter (not bad at all), wonderful black little olives and finally the toasted bread. A big bite....and, guess what? There were raisins inside! :o

Obri-dena-Trip to the Algarve

Check out Tonis Weblog:

http://travessa-do-tonio.blogspot.com/

His story is fantastically written- you ll inmediately feel as you were in Algarve!

PS: Thx to you Toni. Also because you gave me the idea to create this weblog.

My dears, Liebe Leute, Caros, meus queridos.....

I hope I can give you some insight in my life with this blog. Unfortunately we can not all spent time together due to some f***ing distances. I love to be and stay in contact with you and I hope this weblog helps a bit (Seems as if Msn and Skype were not enough).

I am so looking forward to your comments and your own posts. Let´s keep this weblog active and we can all put something up here. I just made the first step.

Tell from your life. What is currently in your head. Pix u took. A joke you wanna share. A tip (hint) you like to give. Some contemplations about life, music and carrots. More fotos. What ever comes up to your mind- would be a pleasure if you d share it.

If it doesnt work out for you to publish you own posts, send me an email, i´ll provide you with the password then.

La casita de locos

Katharina isst 32 Eis auf einen Sitz.

Why does Cathy goes to parties 32 times a month?

Catarina esta tão contenta 32 beijinhos depois...

Que pasa,flaca????

Since Vasco, our our nice, a little confused landlord, told me via mail, that parties and guests are no problem at all, I agreed without knowing anything more bout my future home. Anyways, I really call myself lucky- we are envied by everyone to whom we tell that we life right next to the Viewpoint Sta Catarina (Adamastor ) and 4 minutes from the Bairro Alto, THE quarter to go out.

Now we are 6 girls (Zoe from Us, Mariona and Mireia from/around Barcelona (pix1 &2), Charlotte from Belgium, Wiktoria from Krakov and me) in my flat and downstairas there are: Heike from Germany (Muenster-Monster wenns wem was sagt), Christina from Graz (pic 3), Alexandra and Alan also from Poland and Sergej, a man from Moldavia.

Full house, hum?

The yellow house is a pretty cool hostel-oasis (this is no way to tell you to book there- you are of course more then welcome to the casita)- with a nice little bar and wonderful food (parabéns a Ella!!!), then there is a bar, and the third house is it.

I leave in the second floor, the left window. With great view on a roof in contruction :( and the rio Tejo :) and the Adamstor :)) and the Christ Statue on the other side of the rio :)))...We aqre like these old spanish ladies- chatting from one window to the other. Here with I invite everyone for having breakfast on my lovely balcony!

This should be me sittind infront of/ near/at the balcony.

Something is always happening- and i ll keep yu informed since i ve discoved now the great opportunities a weblog offers :)

Spontaneuos diners, a big B-day Party, hanging out in the ChillOut...

Here are some impressions:

Carcavelos- where the livin´is easy

A pic says more than 1000 words, right?
It is great living so near to the beach. In summer it was horribly overcrowded, and you d feel like in Caorle (Adria). But now, that the winter is coming nearer and nearer, tourists get rareer every day, and only the people who really like the beach and the ocean come. Mainly those how got a wetsuit though. Guys, i tell u, it is freezing. Danke, Heike, nochmal hier. Without, your wetsuit, I could not have the great time i have over there.

It takes some 20-30 min with the train. After managing not to beat up anyone with the board in the train, there is just this little tunnel to cross.

Before reaching the beach you can already see the waves right in front of you at the end of the tunnel.

Never gets boring on the beach. Some Sports students, who got surfing lessons accepted as credits (Believe it or not, it is true. Dancing , by the way, is also a course! Some people chose well, hum?) can nearly always be found there ;)

Well, finally there is the main reason why the beachd attracts people aslo in winter like a magnet : Oh, yes. The fascination of the wave. The search for adventrure. CTo put it in a nutshell- I really try to learn surfing.

Thx to Heike and Alex who are so great to lend me their equipement. I now got this superthick wetsuit, that i even feel to warm in the water. Alex board is cool. a 6.4- which means that I am really cool with it out side the water since it is for professionals ;) Heikinha, Armin, Petra and Ascanio already gave me really good tips- which i could just party put into practice though. Obrigadão a vocês, queridos!

Feeling like in a washing machine is also pretty much fun, I can tell!

I hope there will follow many many more beach days!

We still need to find the courage to go out in full moon...

oi oi oi
